Holiday Bungalow

We own a bungalow in Tywyn, on the Mid-Wales coast, specially adapted to accommodate people with physical disabilities.  There is a manual mobile hoist at the bungalow, which is suitable for all age groups and a wet room makes showering easier. (We suggest you bring a sling for the hoist in the event there is not one in the bungalow that suits your personal needs.)

A self-catering bungalow accommodation with 2 Bedrooms, Lounge, Modern Kitchen, acessible wetroom bathroom with anti-scald shower, placed at an accessible height, and outside garden area with seating.

Kitchen
The bungalow offers a modern kitchen, fitted with electric oven/grill, fridge freezer, table top freezer, washing machine,  dishwasher, combination microwave, ironing board and iron.

Lounge
There’s a spacious lounge with French doors which lead to the outside area.  The furniture includes sofa, armchairs and a dining table with 4 chairs and a TV and DVD player.

Shower room
The wet-room has been refurbished in 2024. This involved a brand new non-slip flooring, grab rails, an anti-scald shower and an accessible height sink. The room/toilet has been modified to enable a person requiring the use of a hoist for the toilet to be able to do this. A standard shower chair is available for use as required and also 2 raised toilet seats, one with rail supports and one without.

Bedrooms

Bedroom One
One single remote control profile bed and one other single bed.  A hydraulic mobile hoist and sling is available.

There is a wall mounted TV in this room.
There is a bed rail for use if needed.

Bedroom Two
Two single beds. TV/DVD player in this room.
All bed linen and towels are provided in both bedrooms. Waterproof mattress protectors are not provided, please bring these if required.

Miscellaneous items
The bungalow has some extra items which guests are welcome to use which incude a perching stool, a padded cusion and a bed transfer frame.

Bookings are subject to availability and approval of the Trustees.  A £100 transferable but non-refundable deposit is required to book.  Full payment is required 6 weeks before arrival.  A security deposit of £100 is required and will be returnded within 7 days of the end of your holiday, less the cost of damage/breakages.

Arrival time is not before 5.00pm on the date of arrival and departure time is not later than 11.00am on date of departure.

The key is in a key box at the rear of the property.  You will be given the key code when the final balance is paid.

Free Wifi is available at the bungalow.  Please use the password key on the router.

Heating and electricity is included in the price.
Parking for two vehicles is available in the driveway.
A flat  tarmac courtyard is situated at the side and rear of the property.

Please DO NOT smoke or vape inside the property.  Sorry but pets, other than assistance pets, are
not permitted.

Damage to equipment and/or furniture is expected to be paid for.
Situated near to the coast and within walking distance of the shops, the main railway station, restaurants, the sea front, and the Talyllyn narrow gauge railway which travels into the mountains. The popular holiday town of Aberdovey is 5 miles away and the Ynys-Hir RSPB Nature Reserve and golf courses are nearby.  The property is fully accessible to persons with physical disabilities.
Bookings are taken on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday.  Short breaks are not available between April and October. See our calendar or call us for availability.
