Book Sold Out

Two years ago, Pauline Das Gupta enrolled at our computer centre so that she could learn how to use her newly acquired laptop computer. She had no idea how to use it, but had a great desire to learn as she wanted to write a book about her childhood and knowledge of Stoke-on-Trent during the past 60 – 70 years. Pauline had been putting this book together by hand in a large notebook.

With the help of our three tutors, Pauline embarked on a computer course which enabled her to put her hand written words into print. We are very proud to say that Pauline has now finished her book, which is called “Pit Head and Pot Banks”.

Keele University have assisted Pauline in getting the book published and it will be on sale in the Artbay and we hope various other places in Staffordshire in the near future.

Pauline is very kindly donating the profits from the sale of the book to our charity. We are very grateful to her, but we are also very proud of her great achievement and the satisfaction it has given her, WELL DONE.
